Rounders Board of Misdirection |
|
The following members are the august group that leads this group. Their rulings are to be taken as seriously as the whole Rounders idea. They are not elected, they just started the group. There is no leader really just a bunch of people trying to have fun.
El Dookey
 |
Cliff "El Dookey" Yankovich lives outside Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to his Rounder Epiphany, he used to pack the bike away when temps were in the low 40's. Taking inspiration from a Kook on the East Coast who road in VFCW (very freakin' cold weather), El Dookey hatched the plan for the Rounders with some other BMW riding goof balls. Now his life is only complete when he gets to spend saddle time in every one of the 12 months. Please feel free to e-mail El Dookey with your Rounder questions or concerns. He will have his people get with your people ASAP. |
Here is El Dookey with his current ride:

The Snow Queen is a 2004 Rockster Special Edition on her Inaugrual Ride 12/21/04.

| Before Rounderhood, Rebecca Vaughn lovingly stored her 1975 BMW R90/6 and 1996 BMW R1100RS for winter, subjecting herself to needless suffering, bikelessness, and nightly motorcycle dreams. Since being shown the path of Roundership by El Dook, and learning that there is a better way, she has ridden in every month since April of 2004. Rounderdom has made winters much happier for Rebecca, her friends, family, coworkers, and pretty much anyone who comes into contact with her. She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. |

Loraz
 |
Leaving behind his former life as a law enforcement officer and turning to a life of crime, Gale Smith - aka Loraz, has never done serious time thanks to his connection with a Canadian drug dealing Mountie. After a period of tranvestism when he declared himself to be "BMW Beauty" - a less-than-sane top drawer poseur, Gale has since settled down to life as a professional fresh water shark fisherman on a remote lake in Ohio with 11 killer cats. His plans to open the Tap Dance for Peace Center have been thwarted by the expansion of Casino gambling. When he is able to communicate with the outside world these days, it is mostly through a series of whistling noises, grunts, and stunningly beautiful reditions of "Beautiful Dreamer" performed on the Peruvian nose flute. |

| After much thought and a direction from El Dookey I was told to put a bio up for the public. Well I am the official (like anything we do is official) Keeper Tracker and Computer Geek for the Rounders. I simply enjoy riding. Unfortunately I do not get to ride as much as I would like. However this at least let me stay involved when work keeps me from riding. Feel free to drop me an e-mail |

In November 2003 Jim returned to after a 12-year layoff. he got married, had a daughter, got divorced and started riding again.
He put on 26K miles his first year back. He has attended several rallies since returning to riding, and find that the comradery of riders fits him very well.
He is very active on the BMW Bikers of Metro Washington Forum, BMW ST forum, BMW RS forum, ADVRider Forum and now Rounders. He is also a member of the BMWBMW BOD in the form of Sales Chair and an administrator on their forum.
Jim takes on one of the most important roles in the Rounders as the Swagmeister - buying Rounderwear keeps this place running. To quote Jim, "This one forum seems to best fit my philosophy of riding. Just ride, don’t stop for a little bad weather, and don’t stop because it is hot or cold. Embrace the changes in weather, terrain and roads. Take advantage of every opportunity to ride that you can."
